Educational Resources in the Library – are there solutions for harvesting, hosting and promoting?

This session on 13 February 2023 (organised by Open Scholarship Thought Leadership Group of the University of Galway Library) looked at three aspects of what libraries do with regards to Open Educational Resources (OER): how we harvest OER, host them and promote OER to staff and students.

We were glad to have external speakers for this session, in particular Sarah Thompson who is Assistant Director Content and Open Research at University of York Library. We also heared from Helen Dodson, who is a lecturer in Anatomy at the University of Galway and uses OER in her teaching. Finally, Cillian Joy and Kris Meen presented on the University of Galway's recent OER projects and our platform Open Press at the University of Galway.
