CSE Teachmeet 30 March 2021 - One surprise of the COVID teaching response is that students appear to prefer live lectures (synchronous) over pre-recordings (asynchronous). We delivered a well-received module to multiple MSc programmes based on a core asynchronous delivery with a series of tweaks to enhance vitality in a workflow that avoided excessive preparation workload. We hope to use the combination of engagement and asynchronous flexibility to deliver the module to an even broader audience in future.
