On the 14th of August 2020, Health Innovation Hub Ireland held a webinar entitled “IP as an Asset-IP Strategies for Start-ups and SMEs”. 

This month we welcomed guest speaker Sean Cummings. Sean is a European patent, trade mark and design attorney and Partner in the leading European IP firm Keltie LLP and Director of the firm’s Irish subsidiary, Keltie Limited, which he established in Galway in 2016. 

Throughout the webinar, Sean discussed the various types of intellectual property (IP), why it matters and how to protect it. Sean also explained how to best time patent applications along with sharing the best piece of business advice he ever received.
